Class Covers:

• How trauma can lead to PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder)
• Steps a trauma survivor need to take before feeling safe to enter back into society as well as feeling safe to receive a bodywork session.
• The Positive and Negatives when working with Trauma Survivors and what can happen when the caregiver doesn’t take care of themselves.
• Staying within the state’s Scope of Practice, what to know prior, during and after giving a session. • Hands-On: Role Playing using Verbal and Non-verbal Communication Techniques
A number of self-care exercises will be practiced throughout the day as well.
