This course is designed for all massage therapists who wish to expand their practice by performing the very popular Hot Stone Massage. It emphasizes maximum hands-on experience and is presently limited to 8 students.
Students will learn what equipment is needed to perform a Hot Stone Massage and how to choose stones to create a set that will meet their individual needs.
The majority of the time will be spent on demonstration and techniques used to perform a Swedish-based hot stone massage. Much emphasis will be given to the skills needed to manage the stones in order to perform a massage that has a good flow and maintains the correct stone temperature throughout the massage.
Ample time is given for students to practice the techniques taught and maybe even develop some of their own techniques. On the last day, students will receive and perform a complete full body hot stone massage!!!
BEST OF ALL – You will will be introduced to Hot Stone Massage in a way that is interesting, fun and practical for your individual massage practice!
We are a fully furnished massage school facility and provide Oakworks massage tables, linens, class tables, and computer/projector for overhead presentations.
Just bring pen and paper.
