FAQs for Future Massage Students

Everything You’re Wondering About Massage School

Thinking about starting a career in massage therapy? You’re in the right place. We’ve answered the most common questions from future students to help you feel confident and informed as you explore our program, costs, schedules, and next steps.

How long is the program?

Our 700-hour Massage Therapy Diploma can be completed in about 6 months full-time or 12 months part-time. Both schedules include hands-on training and classroom instruction to prepare you for licensure fully.

What class schedule options are available?

We offer daytime classes only. Full-time students attend classes Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while part-time students attend classes two days a week with a rotating schedule across semesters.

Do you offer classes at night or on weekends?

Currently, we do not offer evening or weekend classes. All coursework and clinical training take place during weekday hours.

Massage School Basics

Can I take part in the program online?

Some CEU courses are available online, but the core massage diploma program must be completed in person. North Carolina requires hands-on hours for licensure, and we believe learning massage is best done face-to-face.

How much does the program cost?

Tuition for the full 700-hour program is $9,590, which includes a $1,200 registration deposit. There are no hidden fees, and we’ll walk you through exactly what to expect before you enroll.

Do you offer payment plans or financial aid?

Yes! We offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for both full-time and part-time students. While we don’t accept FAFSA, we do accept VA benefits and are happy to help you create a payment plan that suits your budget.

What are the admissions requirements?

To enroll, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a high school diploma or a GED. You should also be physically and emotionally prepared to give and receive a massage as part of the program.

When should I apply?

We recommend applying as early as possible, especially for January and summer start dates. Classes often fill up quickly, and submitting your application early gives you more time to plan financing, CE, and schedules.

Do you help with job placement after graduation?

While we can’t guarantee employment, we offer job search resources and a regularly updated massage job board featuring openings from local employers. We also support students with resume tips and networking opportunities.

Will the program prepare me for licensure?

Absolutely. Our curriculum is designed to meet all state licensing requirements, including preparation for the MBLEx exam. We’ll guide you through the licensure process step by step.

Can I still obtain a license if I have a criminal record?

It depends on the nature of the offense and the time elapsed since it occurred. We encourage you to contact the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy to discuss your specific situation.

Do you offer continuing education (CE) for licensed massage therapists?

Yes! We offer a wide range of CE courses year-round, both in-person and online. These classes help you meet your license renewal requirements and keep your skills fresh.
