Expand your current repertoire of Thai Massage or learn it for the first time.
Thai Massage is an ancient and powerful method of healing that combines acupressure, passive yoga stretching, and deep compressions to restore total balance for the body and mind. Discover the ancient secrets of Thai Massage and how it will enhance and lengthen your career as a massage therapist. Learn a complete full body routine that includes side-lying and seated positions. Massage in the side- lying and seated positions can provide greater access to certain areas of the body including the hips, low back and shoulders. It also allows you to work with a population that cannot lie prone or supine.
We are a fully furnished massage school facility and provide Oakworks massage tables, class tables, and computer/projector for overhead presentations.
What to bring:
1 mat sufficient to act as a Thai or Shiatsu Mat. Yoga mats don’t work. We will be kneeling a lot so some thing with cushion is best. Thick pilates mats are a good substitute.
2 Pillows (one firm enough to kneel on)
What to wear:
Dress comfortably. I recommend “yoga” clothes. No jeans, skirts, or anything restrictive.
