Integrative Massage Therapy

Integrative Massage Therapy is a one-day introduction to holistic massage practice. The integrative massage session is an individual treatment that may draw from neuromuscular or medical massage, myofascial release, acupressure, craniosacral therapy and many other forms of healing. The only limitations are the practitioner’s training and scope of practice. Anyone wanting to develop a more holistic practice, or simply to expand their own understanding and skill level, will benefit from the Integrative Massage Therapy seminar.

Why take this one-day class?

By participating in this class, you will be able to:
• Discuss the benefits and risks of an integrative approach to massage therapy
• Demonstrate two or more methods of integrative assessment
• Demonstrate two or more techniques of integrative treatment
• Demonstrate the use of emotional stress release (ESR) in a massage session
• Discuss the relationship of motor points, trigger points and acupuncture points
• Demonstrate a refined version of manual resistive muscle testing
• Discuss the role of the craniosacral rhythm in health
• Discuss the role of energy in manual therapy
• Discuss the pivotal role of fascia in assessment and treatment

We are a fully furnished massage school facility and provide Oakworks massage tables, class tables, and computer/projector for overhead presentations.
